What are analog CCTV cameras?

Analog CCTV cameras are the traditional surveillance cameras that convert optical images into electrical signals and transmission them to a recorder. They use coaxial cables such as RG59, RG6 or now commonly used are pre-made cables that carry video and power on a single line. The analog cameras offer image resolution from 720 TV lines now up to around 5MP and are used widely in homes and small businesses. Some analog cameras are also capable of sending audio and alarm signals over the same coaxial cables.
